Kratel Ruiz Washington
Dr. Washington graduated with a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in Psychology and from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University with a Doctorate of Psychology.
Prior to completion of her doctoral studies; Dr.Washington completed her PreDoctoral internship with Rappahannock Area Community Services Boards where she provided individual therapy to both adults and children who were residents of the local community. As an intern, Dr. Washington,also provided group therapy and facilitated psychoeducational groups regarding substance use and abuse. Prior to internship Dr Washington has also gained experience working with children in play therapy, providing social skills groups for children with diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mood Disorders and collaborating and guiding parents in a private practice setting and previously as an intensive home-based counselor. Dr. Washington is also experienced in providing psychological assessment services for adults, children, and adolescents, in a variety of settings. As a Navy veteran herself, Dr. Washington also has experience providing individual and group therapy to service members and members of their family.
