I have earned my doctorate degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and have a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent psychology. I have completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles where I was trained intensively in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Following my training at the Wright Institute, I have continued onto two years of post-doctoral training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Rose City Counseling Center in Pasadena. During my graduate school I have received a practicum training at the locked psychiatric facility, providing therapy to patients diagnosed with psychotic disorders, and I have drawn heavily on psychoanalytic theories while working with this population. I have more than the decade long experience working with children and families, focusing on parent training and behavioral challenges. For years I have worked with children with autism and developmental disorders, conducting assessments, teaching parenting classes, providing ABA based interventions, parent coaching, and school/day programs observations and consultations. I am extremely passionate about working psychoanalytically with individuals with the wide variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders. My hope is that my patients, using our therapeutic relationship as a vehicle, will become free to lead more authentic lives, become whole and embrace their true self. I am particularly drawn to attachment theory and object-relations, and through my work I invite patients to become curious about themselves and attempt to view their current circumstances through both developmental and relational lenses. Being form a different country myself, I have a great appreciation and interest in different cultures and enjoy working with the culturally diverse population.
