About:

Dr. Tracey Ward received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and completed her pre-doctoral internship in the Child Track at Seattle Children's Hospital within the University of Washington, School of Medicine. Dr. Ward’s clinical practice spans both assessment and therapy for children and teens in the areas of obsessive compulsive disorder, challenging behaviors in young children, autism spectrum disorders, and anxiety disorders – with a particular expertise in selective mutism. Dr. Ward specializes in evidence-based treatments that include cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure-based therapies, and behavioral parent training. Her training includes inpatient settings, intensive outpatient treatment programs addressing selective mutism and OCD, and outpatient and assessment clinics at Seattle Children’s Hospital Psychiatry Department and Autism Center, Univeristy of Washington, Center for Human Development and Disability, and Advanced Therapeutic Solutions in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Ward has experience working with children from the age of 3 through adolescence, providing individual, group, and intensive treatment. She has expertise treating a broad range of anxiety disorders, with focus in treating selective mutism, obsessive compulsive disorder, and behavioral parent training for parents of young children. Dr. Ward also has extensive experience diagnosing autism spectrum disorder and treating psychiatric diagnoses within this population.

Her clinical approach focuses on empowering patients with collaborative assessment and treatment planning that is unique to them and providing accurate and age appropriate psychoeducation. She places a strong value on fun, humor, bravery, emphasizing unique strengths within each young person. Dr. Ward loves to teach kiddos how to build their brave muscles, help teens identify and conquer fears, and support parents in helping their children and teens overcome challenges and live more joyful lives.
