Larry HessDr. Hess is a highly regarded and experienced neuropsychologist who has advised families and worked with students and adults who require all levels of personal guidance through intensive and time-sensitive work. He is a consultant working with students from some of Manhattan’s top schools and universities, to help them obtain the resources they need. His areas of expertise include neuropsychological assessment; test accommodations; learning disorders and mood; medical issues and cognition; reading comprehension; executive functions; interventions with reluctant writers; mathematics disorder; cognition and behavior; and assessment of reading.
Dr. Hess obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors at the University of Chicago. He holds a doctoral degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and performed his clinical training at The University of Chicago Medical Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and SUNY-Stony Brook’s University Counseling Center and Child and Adolescent Program.
